We are a Western Puget Sound based, full service interiors firm specializing in interior design for residential and commercial projects. We create a link for the client between the design process and the construction process, offering tailored interior design services ranging from concept design and space planning to full on remodels and new construction. It is our belief that a respect for historical architecture, with an equal appreciation for modern design, creates the best kind of design -- one that can stand the test of time.
Our team of experts include some of the area’s leading architects, contractors, painters, furniture makers, specialty glass experts, among others, as well as offering a wide variety of products for any project.

Jennifer McLinko, Founder/Principle Designer
Designer, mother, wife, with a deep love of food, humor, and life. And Star Wars.
Prior to launching Mise en Place Design, Jennifer worked as a kitchen and bath designer for one of the East Coast’s premier residential and commercial design firms. She focused her education on developing and growing her understanding of design and the visual world, graduating with honors from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a bachelors of science in Interior Design, as well as a MFA in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Jennifer has also been an Allied Member of ASID for a number of years.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys, as well their two dogs and slightly fat cat. She enjoys living and entertaining, as well as trying out new places to visit and, more importantly, experience.
Joella Thorne, Design Assistant/Office Manager
Design Assistant, sidekick, mother, wife, with a passion for music, art and dogs.
Before joining Mise en Place Design, Joella gained experience in several different careers including regional bank manger, head of a major non-profit organization, as well as a teacher. A "Jo" of all trades, as she likes to say. A love a learning and new experiences is what drives her. She keeps things fun, and organized, around the showroom.
Joella enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and her three fur babies.
